Good Luck Trolls: From toy to collectible design object
In 1957, in the village of Gjøl by the Limfjord, Thomas Dam created the first Good Luck Troll. He carved it as a self-portrait for his daughter. But once finished, Thomas Dam thought the figure looked more like a troll – and that's how the Good Luck Troll came into the world.
Since then, these lovable Good Luck Trolls have been adored in homes right around the globe. And while they started out as toys, they’ve become true collectors’ design pieces.
