The Norwegian designer Arne Tjomsland (1915-1970) is known for his interpretations of Nordic wildlife. It was his childhood reading of polar literature and visits to the Natural History Museum in Oslo that sparked a lifelong fascination with life in harsh environments. From the 1950s onwards, Arne Tjomsland translated his fascination into figures that exuded the raw power of nature but in a distinctively soft mode of expression. We are proud to help ensure that his timeless designs live on.
